Company Registration in Thailand

Setting up a Thai company in Thailand is easy if you speak, read and write Thai as most of the documentation will be in the Thai language. Always obtain the services of an attorney when registering a company as it is far more convenient than trying to deal with government departments on your own.

These are the basic steps for setting up a Thai company in Thailand:

1. Apply for permission to use company name;

2. Get approval for memorandum of association at the Department of Business Development of the Ministry of Commerce;

3. Deposit paid-in capital in a bank;

4. Apply to register the company as a legal entity (final registration);

5. Register with the Revenue Department for tax;

6. Register for social security and Workmen’s Compensation Fund at the Social Security Office, Ministry of Labor;

7. Submit company work regulations to the Office of Labor Protection and Welfare of the Ministry of Labor at the district where the head office of the company is locate.

Without any problems registering a company in Thailand should normally take between 5-6 weeks to complete.
